 Vector Construction
has constructed a wide variety of projects of
different size, end-use, and contract types.
Regardless of what type of project were
involved in, our goal has always been to manage a
smooth and cost effective operation for our
customers. To ensure our goal is attained on
every project, we focus on six critical success
factors.
Planning
and Communication are two
functions which Vector
Construction personnel
are trained to perform throughout a
project. Planning increases productivity
and prevents unacceptable quality,
schedule delays and cost overruns.
Communication makes all parties aware of
project plans andeliminated surprises and
misunderstandings. Communication is
essential in establishing the
expectations and requirements of our
customers and in translating these
expectations and requirements to all the
parties involved in the successful
completion of a project. |

Value Engineering
involves the cost/benefit analysis of
construction materials, methods and systems.
personnel are experienced in providing accurate
cost/benefit information to owners and designers
to be used in decisions affecting the design and
construction of a project. This service is used
primarily on construction management oriented and
design/build projects, but can also be offered on
a lump-sum project if changes or additions are
considered once a project has been started, and
on projects where cost savings are credited to
the owner.

Project
Control during the
construction phase is essential to a
successful project. Master schedules are
established and maintained through
contractual enforcement of subcontractors
and suppliers, regularly schedule project
meetings, which establish short interval
objectives, and consistent material/and
manpower reporting. Costs are controlled
through tight invoice control and prompt
change order reconciliation. Standard
company operational procedures keep a
project on track and reduce the need for
problem resolution. |
Self-Performed Work
allows Vector
Construction to better control a
project's cost, schedule and quality.
self-performs its own general labor, concrete
work, and rough and finish carpentry. Manpower
requirements, skill levels and quality
commitments are more easily controlled with
direct control of crews. Our forces can also
supplement steel erection, interior finish and
other trade crews to ensure a project's continued
progression.
Safety and Quality
Control are top Vector
Construction priorities. Pre-hire
orientation, weekly on-site safety meetings,
regular project inspections and critiques are
just part of our safety program. Quality is a
cumulative result of on-site controls and a
commitment to improving all aspects of our
business, which is the main focus of our company.
Project
Close-Out is the orderly
wrap-up and turnover of a completed
facility and support systems. Vector
Construction employs an
eight (8) step procedure used throughout
a project to reduce punchlist items and
quickly complete any items that do result
in a punchlist. As-built drawings,
warranties, maintenance and operating
manuals, and instructions, etc., are
controlled by Vector
Construction project
personnel throughout a project to ensure
a timely turnover at the end of a
project. Administrative and cost
accounting items are continually updated
so as not to tie up a project's
completion. It is our goal to keep the
turnover process as simple as possible
while an owner is most involved with
occupying a facility and establishing a
new business.
