Tom Focht founded Vector Construction Company with Steve Steltenkamp in September 1997. Tom was also with Maescher Industries for some 20 years, where he was Field Operations Manager for its subsidiary, Matrix Building Company, Inc. Tom is directly responsible for the daily construction operations of the company.
As Field Operations Manager, Tom developed a safety program (subsequently implemented at Vector), which resulted in Matrix receiving the Gold Level Safety Award from the National Associated Builders and Contractors Association.
Tom Focht has 27 years of construction experience, receiving his basic carpentry field training at the Frank Messer & Sons Company. He advanced through field assignments as Carpenter Foreman and Field Superintendent at C.V. Maescher before taking the reigns of Operations Manager at Matrix in 1985.
